Bio: Extern Louis Emeka Benedict
Louis Emeka Benedict graduated from the Department of Biochemistry faculty of Basic Medical Science University of Uyo Nigeria with a Bachelors of Science with honors. He trained during industrial attachment experience at Excellence Medical Diagnostic, as a medical scientist. There, he rose to be the bench leader at the chemical pathology and research unit.
Louis as a scientist researched on the on the “Effects of quinine (anti-malarial) metabolism on some the protein indices in Humans." Furthermore he contributed to the article “Effect of Root and Leaf Extracts of Tetracarpidium conophorum on Liver Enzyme Levels in Alloxan Induced Diabetic Rats” British Journal of Pharmaceutical Research Manuscript Number: 2014_BJPR_13407.
Louis taught biology and also served as a medic at Idia College in Benin City during his National Youth Service year. He later worked as a medical representative detailing and sales at Daveon Biopharm and Richlam pharmaceuticals Ltd. Louis is currently a doctor in training at All Saints University School of Medicine in Dominica. He has completed his clinical rotations at Princess Margaret Hospital and has been appointed Student Extern at Urgent Care on Bath Road in Roseau Dominica. His duties are include serving as student health facilitator while continuing to gain clinical experience in advance patient care techniques.
